Data Scientist - Algorithm Development Engineer

We are looking for a Data Scientist - Algorithm Development Engineer. Working cross-functionally with clinical experts, hardware, catheter, quality, and software engineers, this role will contribute to the development of core signal processing and predictive algorithms to create guided treatment solutions for atrial fibrillation. Mapping the electro-anatomical underpinnings of atrial fibrillation is one of the most difficult, most important, and most potentially impactful challenges in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, and CoreMap is poised to disrupt the field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze pre-clinical and clinical electrogram data to develop AF mapping algorithms for technology assessment, clinical project collaborations, and device development using Python, C++, and related tools

  • Design complex data processing pipelines for large scale datasets and implement algorithms and advanced models that enable data visualization and interpretation

  • Create 3D electro-anatomical maps of sophisticated computational results derived from multivariate, time-synchronous data

  • Contribute to all parts of application development; overall design of user experience, and robust evaluation of system performance driven by clinical study data

  • Cultivate and apply deep understanding of clinical cardiac electrophysiology

  • Keep up to date with technology advances in the medical device industry

  • Identify and document IP opportunities for technology and applications

  • Present results to project partners and physician collaborators

  • Work within an DFA regulated environment, follow design control practices, and generate controlled documentation as needed

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s of Ph.D. in EE, BME, CS, or related technical fields with solid grounding in computational fundamentals and data structures

  • 3+ years of algorithm development for biological signal analysis and processing, with proven experience in extracting actionable information from complex data

  • Python and/or C++ fluency

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Desired: Experience with cardiac electrophysiology, including analysis of intracardiac electrograms

  • Comfortable working in both a fast-paces and rigorous early stage startup with fluid project requirements as well as a regulated, process-driven commercial environment

  • Preferred onsite in Burlington, MA remote work considered based on qualifications
