Data Scientist
CoreMap’s mission is to enable a cure for the millions of patients suffering with atrial fibrillation (AF). We are developing a high-resolution, real-time, 3D electro-anatomical mapping system that will be used during cardiac procedures to generate novel maps of AF using data acquired from a high spatial resolution catheter to guide therapeutic ablation.
The Data Scientist will be responsible for working with clinical experts to help analyze data and develop efficient algorithms that provide actionable diagnostic information to guide the effective treatment of AF.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute analytical and digital signal processing tasks, e.g., data preparation, data
analysis, data visualization, descriptive statistics, linear regression, time and
frequency domain signal analysis.
Analyze pre-clinical and clinical electrogram data for technology assessment, clinical
project collaborations, and device development using Python, C++, and related
tools.
Design complex data processing pipelines for large-scale datasets and implement
algorithms and advanced models that enable data visualization and interpretation.
Develop algorithms for electrophysiological signal processing to support the creation
of 3D electroanatomical maps.
Develop evaluate, and document signal processing algorithms and work with
software developers to integrate these into the final product.
Develop applications to optimize analysis of pre-clinical and clinical data from EP
studies. and to perform the data analysis using Python, C++, and related tools.
Cultivate and apply deep understanding of clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
Keep up-to-date with technology advances in the medical device industry.
Identify and document IP opportunities for technology and applications.
Work within regulated environments, follow design control practices, and generate
controlled documentation as needed.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Ability to contribute on research and development projects as part of a high-
performance Data Science Team is required.
Bachelor or Master in EE, BME, CS or related technical fields with solid grounding in
computational fundamentals is required.
3+ years of relevant experience is preferred for candidates with Bachelor.
Experience in Python is required.
Experience in C++ is preferred.
Experience with real-time biological signal analysis and processing, machine
learning, and cardiac signals including intracardiac electrograms is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Comfortable working in both a fast-paced and rigorous early-stage startup with fluid
project requirements as well as a regulated, process-driven commercial
environment.
